Nothing whatsoever wrong with believing in a personal God. I think there IS something wrong with our leaders replacing pseudosciences with science.
I think the argument here is that our leaders should be able to discern the difference. As has been written:
Science is based in evidence. It stands and says "Disprove me." Faith says "Believe in me."
Therein lies the difference.

Talk about sidetracks! I won my copy of Signature in the Cell by guessing Prince Charles was Randy's Antichrist.

Errol Morris' "Mr. Death: The Rise and Fall of Fred Leuchter" was on HBO this morning. It occurred to me that The Leuchter Report is very similar to the arguments made by creationists. Leuchter made execution machines for states until he
he was hired by Holocaust deniers to go to Auschwitz. Leuchter used some science-sounding words and conducted some science-like experiments to come up with his groundless report.

Its against the law in Canada to deny the Holocaust, but not here. Freedom of speech is better, of course, but its the price we have to pay.

Its a good movie and Morris has guts for making it.
