Every once in a while, I skip channels and find Dr. Laura chastizing someone, making her "moral judgements." (Her words.)
Her show has gotten worse, I think. She against feminism as far as I can tell. Everytime a woman calls Dr. Laura for advice on why her marraige is falling apart, it seems to be because the woman didn't gussy herself up enough or something like that. It is very sad.
The show is an exercise in masochism (for the callers), sadism, homophobia, and hypocrisy (for Dr. Laura). But for listeners, its about voyeurism. I'm thinking most of us listeners have the same thought running through our heads ad infinitum when we tune her in:
WHY WOULD ANYONE BE SO STUPID AS TO CALL IN TO GET ADVICE FROM DR. LAURA?
